Descripción: Se trata de una práctica profesional, no rentada, para colaborar con la Oficina de Alianzas Internacionales del Regent's College en Londres. El alumno será un punto de contacto y de apoyo para los estudiantes internacionales.
Los deberes incluyen asistir en las visitas al campus, en el diseño de materiales de marketing, en la organización de la semana de inducción, y funciones de administración como asistir a las llamadas telefónicas, atender las preguntas de los estudiantes, manejar la correspondencia y registrar estudiantes al sistema. Programa de Doble Titulación con Florida International University (FIU)

La Universidad del CEMA y Florida International University firmaron un acuerdo de doble titulación MBA-MIB. El mismo brinda a los alumnos la oportunidad de acceder a dos títulos de Maestría complementarios en el área de los negocios y en dos países diferentes. El MBA de la UCEMA y el Master of International Business (MIB) de FIU se complementan en su enfoque: el primero se orienta al desarrollo directivo y el management general; el segundo, se enfoca en los negocios a nivel global, con especial atención al entorno de negocios de las Américas. El MIB es una de las Maestrías en Negocios Internacionales más reconocidas y prestigiosas de los Estados Unidos y, como tal, atrae regularmente a estudiantes de más de 25 nacionalidades diferentes brindando una auténtica experiencia intercultural y de inmersión en los negocios de la región y del mundo.

Los alumnos del MBA de la UCEMA deberán cursar durante 2 "terms" en Miami, EE.UU., a lo largo de unos 8 o 9 meses; realizando dos tercios del recorrido curricular del MIB. Mediante un proceso de reconocimiento recíproco de materias por equivalencias acceden a la obtención del MBA de la UCEMA y del MIB de FIU. At UCEMA, international students can spend a quarter, semester or year earning undergraduate or graduate credits while experiencing Buenos Aires’ rich cultural life. If your University does not have an exchange agreement with UCEMA you can still have an international experience as a Free Mover.

ELIGIBILITY

Undergraduate Study Abroad

To be considered for the Undergraduate Study Abroad in Buenos Aires at the University of CEMA, you must:

  • Be an undergraduate student at a recognized institution.

  • Have completed or foresee completing the equivalent of two years of university level education before departure.

  • Have a strong academic background as evidenced by a transcript of grades.

All candidates are considered on individual merit and in accordance with equal opportunities policy.

Graduate Study Abroad

To be considered for the Graduate Study Abroad in Buenos Aires at the University of CEMA, you must:

  • Be a Graduate student enrolled at a recognized institution.

  • Have completed or foresee completing the equivalent of the first year of a standard two-year master program before departure.

  • Have a strong academic background as evidenced by a transcript of grades.

All candidates are considered on individual merit and in accordance with equal opportunities policy.

IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS

All nationalities must apply for a student visa or residence permit to study in Argentina. According to the current Argentinian Immigration Law, students holding a tourist visa will not be able to study in Argentina.

Once the student receives the Acceptance Letter, they must contact the Consular Office of the Argentine Republic in the place of residence to find out the exact documentation requested and schedule an appointment for processing the corresponding visa.

Please keep in mind that visa procedures may take up to two months. We strongly recommend starting them well in advance to avoid any problem.

Depending on the length of the student stay in Argentina, and his/her place of birth, the student must apply for one of the following types of Visa:

  • Student visa – 365 days: This visa is for studying in the Argentine Republic for a period less than 365 days. Further information in the following link.

  • Student visa + 365 days: This visa is for studying in the Argentine Republic for a period exceeding 365 days. Further information in the following link.

  • Student from MERCOSUR Member or Associate States: This type of visa is available to nationals of MERCOSUR Member or Associate States, for temporary establishment of foreign nationals in the Argentine Republic for a maximum term of 2 (two) years. Further information in the following link.

International students must submit a photocopy of their student visa/residence permit to UCEMA. Otherwise, they will not be able to continue enrolled as exchange students. Students are conditionally enrolled until proof of their residence is submitted.

APPLICATION PROCESS

To initiate your application, you should first submit:

  • A completed Application Form accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of USD100.

  • An Immigration Information Form

  • A copy of your valid passport to exchange@ucema.edu.ar.

Study Abroad in Buenos Aires has a wide variety of applicants. Once our Admissions Office receives your online application and supporting documents, we can review them to ensure they meet admissions criteria and guide you through the appropriate enrollment and immigration channels.

Along with the above information, and to complete your application, you should also submit, before the deadline, via email to exchange@ucema.edu.ar:

  • Official university transcripts (in English or Spanish)

  • Photocopy of valid passport.

  • 2 passport photos.

  • Proof of Spanish Language Proficiency (only for candidates interested in Classes taught in Spanish, if first language is not Spanish)

  • Proof of English Language Proficiency (only for candidates interested in Classes taught in English, if first language is not English)

  • A one-page Statement of Purpose detailing academic goals and reasons for wanting to participating in the Study Abroad Program.

  • Resume (Curriculum Vitae)

Once your completed application to Study Abroad in Buenos Aires has been received, it will be individually and thoroughly reviewed by our Admissions Committee. Candidates meeting our entry criteria will receive a Letter of Acceptance to Study Abroad in Buenos Aires. You will be able to use this letter as supporting documentation at your home university and for immigration purposes. It will also be accompanied by detailed information about how and where to process your residence permit or student visa. Although this letter does admit you to the program, it does not enroll you in any specific classes.

ENROLLMENT

If you have been admitted to Study Abroad in Buenos Aires, there are just a few more necessary steps to complete your enrollment. To enroll, you must submit:

  • A statement of your decision by email accompanied by a registration fee of USD500.

  • A copy in English or Spanish of health insurance with coverage for Argentina.

It is important that you proceed with enrollment as quickly as possible so that we can confirm your full program of study. By this point you will be collaborating closely with our Study Abroad Coordinator, enrolling in the most appropriate classes, preparing to obtain your visa or residence permit, and enjoying defining what will be your own unique study abroad experience.

PROGRAMS COSTS

  • Application Fee: USD 100. This payment must be submitted along with your application materials.
  • Registration Fee: USD 500. This payment is made once you have been admitted.
  • Tuition for the Undergraduate Semester: USD 1500 per course (minimum 2 courses per semester)
  • Tuition for the Graduate Quarter: USD 2600 per course (minimum 2 courses per quarter)

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to our University, and we hope to see you in Buenos Aires in the near future.

In the Academic Calendar you will find all the important dates for your exchange, beginning and ending of the semester, exam period and orientation days.

The orientation is mandatory for all exchange students who are new to UCEMA. The orientation will cover important information regarding academic and student issues, and practical tips for living in Buenos Aires.

We recommend you to arrive in Buenos Aires one or two weeks prior to the beginning of classes. The Orientation for International Students will take place a week before classes start.

APPLICATION PROCESS

In order to apply to study as an exchange student at UCEMA go through the following steps:

  1. Partner Universities must nominate their candidates by email to exchange@ucema.edu.ar.

  2. Partner Universities must submit the following documentation electronically for each one of their students, prior to the deadlines specified in the Academic Calendar:

  1. Application Form:

    • Students must fill out the online application form, print it and sign it.
    • The Home University should verify the information and sign it prior to sending to UCEMA a scanned copy of it.
  1. Academic Transcript (Official transcript in English or Spanish)

  2. Copy of Passport (where your personal details and photo appear)

  3. Curriculum Vitae / Resumé.

  4. Jpeg. passport Photo.

  5. Statement of Purpose (maximum one page in length) detailing their academic goals and reasons for participating in the exchange program.

  6. Proof of Spanish Language Proficiency – B2 / C1 level highly recommended (only for candidates interested in Classes taught in Spanish, if first language is not Spanish)

COURSES

Courses at UCEMA are offered in Spanish so students should have a working knowledge of the Spanish Language prior to the beginning of classes (upper intermediate level).

The MBA and the Master in Finance offer courses taught in English during the 3rd Quarter. Only Graduate Students can apply to those courses.

Exchange students can register in a minimum of 2 classes and up to a maximum of 4 (per semester / quarter) from the following programs:

Graduate students: MBA | Master in Agribusiness | Master in Finance | Master in International Studies

HEALTH INSURANCE

UCEMA requires that all exchange students are covered by an Argentine health insurance that must be obtained prior to arrival in Argentina and must be valid from the first to the last day of the semester. For completing their enrolment to UCEMA’s International Programs, exchange students must send copy of Health Insurance once they are admitted to UCEMA and prior to their arrival to Argentina.

STUDENT ADMISSION
