Dr. Mark Skousen has recently been designed “America’s Economist.” He is a Presidential Fellow and holds the Doti-Spogli Endowed Chair of Free Enterprise at Chapman University, where he received “My Favorite Professor” Award. In 1977, he earned his Ph. D. in economics from George Washington University. In 2018, Mr. Steve Forbes awarded him the Triple Crown in Economics for his work in theory, history, and education. He has taught economics, business and finance at Columbia Business School, Columbia University, Bernard College, Mercy College, and Rollins College. He has worked for the government (Central Intelligence Agency), non-profits (president of the Foundation for Economic Education), and been a consultant to IBM and other Fortune 500 companies. He has written often for the Wall Street Journal and Forbes magazine, and has made regular appearances on CNBC and C-SPAN Book TV. Su trabajo académico se centra en dos áreas principales de research: filantropía no asistencialista y la libertad de elección educativa (school choice) en el contexto del sistema educativo argentino.
