University: contents and diversity
The aim of the presentation is to point out that the country´s universities are increasingly immersed in transnational higher education network. The mission of the university was to preserve and increase knowledge in order to transmit it. The existence of a multidisciplinary university offer makes it possible to deepen and offer the different aspects of culture in a comprehensive manner and also from a particular perspective. Thus, each university defines the character of its academic life. This multiple offer is enriched by virtual learning.
Doctor of Medicine from the University of Buenos Aires Doctor Honoris Causa from the National University of Córdoba and the National University of San Luis. Author of the 1968 Plan for the Creation of New Universities, which increased the number of national universities in our country from nine to twenty-three between 1971 and 1973. He is also author of the 1989 Plan for Creation of University Colleges. He has published dozens of scientific works on the main University, educational, scientific and cultural problems of the country and the world. He has held national positions related to education and science, such as, for example, Coordinator of the Cabinet of the National Secretary of State for Science and Technology. He presided over prestigious associations, among them the the Argentine Association for the Progress of Science, predecessor of CONICET.
