Within the framework of the UCEMA History and Freedom seminars, journalist Ceferino Reato addressed the causes and consequences of the political violence experienced in Argentina during the 1970´s emphasizing the motivations of the armed groups that participated in that process and highlighting some of the most prominent events that took place in this dramatic period of recent history.

Journalist and Political Science graduate. He worked in the newspapers Clarín and Perfil; was correspondent in Sao Paulo for the ANSA agency and press advisor at the Argentine Embassy to the Vatican. He is currently executive editor of Fortuna magazine; he hosts the program Retweet on FM Cultura and participates in the program Intratables, broadcast by América TV. He has published several books, among Operación Traviata (Operation Traviata), Operación Primicia (Operation Exclusive), Disposición Final (Final Disposition), ¡Viva la sangre! (Long live Blood!), Doce Noches (Twelve Nights) and Salvo que me muera antes (Unless I die first). In 2017, the Konex Foundation awarded him as one of the best five journalists of the last decade in the category of Research.
