Carlos Sabino is a professor at University Francisco Marroquín, member of the Mont Pèlerin Society, collaborator of the Center for Global Prosperity of CEDICE, and member of the Academic Council of the International Foundation for Liberty. He is also a visiting professor at the Center for the Study of Public Choice, George Mason University. He studied Sociology at the University of Buenos Aires and has a PhD in Social Sciences from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). In addition, he is the author of several history books, articles and other works.

His articles have been published in, among others, the Latin Business Chronicle, The Independent Review, the Washington Times, the Austin American-Statesman, and among his books are Todos Nos Equivocamos, Los caminos de la ciencia, Guatemala: La Historia Silenciada (1944-1989), El failure of interventionism: openness and free market in Latin America, and social security in Venezuela.
