Naumann Chair 2021: The challenges of the post-COVID 19 world order in Europe and global democracy

How will Europe and the world democracies be configured after the advent of the pandemic? Cañas, a European parliamentarian for the Spanish liberal party Ciudadanos, party of which he has been a member since its foundation, and a fundamental voice in the fight against Catalan separatism analyzes these issues in the Naumann Chair 2021 edition.

Also, this year the Chair will issue attendance certificates for all who attend it in an 80% of its editions from April to the end of the year.

Jordi Cañas: Deputy for Citizens, at the European Parliament since 2019. The Spanish progressive liberal party is part of the parliamentary liberal group Renew Europe. He has a degree in Geography and History from the University of Barcelona and is member of Ciudadanos since 2006. He is member of parliamentary committees for International Trade, Internal Market and Protection to Consumers, Employment and Social Affairs and Petitions. He is first vice-deputy for the EU-Eurolat Parliamentary Assembly, member of the Delegation of Relations with the Mercosur and the Joint Parliamentary Commission EU-Mexico. Cañas is a well known voice within the Catalan anti-separatism movement
