The History and Freedom seminar begins July with chapters dedicated to Nelson Rockefeller and cultural diplomacy in Latin America, and to Juan B. Justo.

Thus, on July 7, Andrea Matallana will explore the relationships established with Latin America by Nelson Rockefeller in the years of World War II. The creation of the Inter-American Cooperation Office by Rockefeller and his strategies to win the "souls and hearts" of Latin Americans through the arts subsidy will be discussed. Andrea Matallana is a Sociologist and Master in Social Research (UBA) and a Doctor in History (UTDT). She is a professor in the Department of Historical and Social Studies at the Torcuato Di Tella University and the Ricardo Rojas Cultural Center (UBA). He has also published numerous articles and chapters in national and international books and magazines, including Entrepasados, Des-Cartes, Revista de Historia Social y de las Mentalidades, and Ars et Sapientia.

Meanwhile, on July 14, Ricardo López Gottig will analyze with Alejandro Gómes “The economic thought of Juan B. Justo”. In the talk, Dr. López Göttig will discuss the origins of the economic thought of the founder of the Socialist Party and his influence in the early twentieth century and the socialist current in the country, as well as his resemblance to the socialists of the present. Ricardo López Gottig is Professor of History at the University of Belgrano and Doctor of History from the Karlova University of Prague. He works as Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Belgrano and is Director of Museums and Heritage Preservation of the Province of Buenos Aires.
