La segunda mitad del siglo XIX es también conocida como la era de la Pax Britanica. Ese período vio el desarrollo del pensamiento naval clásico y se relaciona con la presencia de vinculaciones globales, imperialismo,la competencia entre las grandes potencias y el surgimiento del primer navalismo. La presentación propone una mirada fresca que busca establecer las conexiones entre el contexto ideológico,político y tecnológico con el pensamiento naval en una era de globalización y señalar las similitudes con la actualidad.

El Dr. Guido nos hablará sobre la trayectoria política de Álvaro Alsogaray y su lucha por la difusión de las ideas liberales en la segunda mitad del siglo XX en Argentina. Cuál fue su trayectoria partidaria y las fuentes doctrinales en la que se basó.

¿Cómo nos interpela Alberdi en el presente? ¿Qué país imaginó y qué medios promovió para ello? ¿Qué rol juegan los emprendedores en el modelo alberdiano? ¿Qué resultados tuvieron esas ideas y cómo le fue al país cuando nos alejamos de ellas?
